日本人の施設への入居

１．リタイアメントビレッジ
55歳以上で、オーストラリアの市民権、または永住権をもっている人であれば、誰でもユニットを購入できます。退職者ビザを持っている方も、購入が可能なところがあります。しかし、投資目的で転売したり、賃貸に出したりすることはできません。

１．Retirement village
Permanent residents or those with civil right over 55 years old can purchase a unit in the retirement village. Some villages are also sold for retirements with visa. But it is prohibited to sell or rent it for investment.

２．サービスアパート、ホステル
基本的に、リタイヤメントビレッジと同じですが、ケアサービスを受けるために面接を行う場合があります。

２．Service apartment.hostel
Basically the same condition as retirement village is applied. But there may be interviewed if a care service is needed.

３．ナーシングホーム
オーストラリアの市民権、永住権を保持していればACATの審査を受け、施設への入居が必要とされれば入居できます。退職ビザの場合、看護が必要となった場合に入居できる場合があります。その場合、ビザの有効期間中はサービスを受けられますが、健康であることが退職者ビザの取得条件であるため、更新する際に問題になります。

３．NURSING HOME
Permanent residents or those with civil right can enter the nursing home when approved by the ACAT's assessment. Retirements with visa may be allowed to enter the nursing home when they need care. A problem may arise in case of renewal since health is a condition for the renewal of visa.

現在までに日本人が実際に入居した例のあるリタイヤメント・ビレッジは数少なく、海外から移住してきた者への対処に関する認識がまだ低いようです。日本人を意識したリタイヤメントビレッジの計画も進んでいるようですが、ビザの更新の際に健康であることが条件となっており、問題とされると思われます。
