観光でオーストラリアを訪れるにはビザが必要となりますが、通常の観光ビザの他にETA（イータス）というシステムもあります。

【観光ビザ】
観光を目的とし、一時的にオーストラリアを訪問するためのビザで、有効期限は４年。その間何度でもオーストラリアに入国することができますが、一回に滞在できる期間は6ヶ月までです。
留学ではない単発的な就学はできますが、就労はできません。
■申請条件
仕事または治療以外の目的で訪問を希望していること。申請者は必要な充分な資金源を有する必要があります。申請者の訪問目的は正当のものでなくてはなりません。

■申請方法
申請には申請用紙に記入する必要があります。大使館に直接行くか、郵送でも申請書を手に入れることができます。また、オーストラリアの移民多文化関係省のホームページから、申請書を取り出すことができます。
申請は、オーストラリア大使館の査証課まで持参するか、郵送でも受け付けています。
■申請料金
観光ビザの申請には、￥5,000かかります。郵送の場合は、郵便為替での支払いとなります。

【Visitor visa】
This visa allows to visit Australia temporarily for tourism purposes.
This visa is valid up to 4 years and allows for multiple entry and
for stay up to 6 months. You can undertake informal study with this
visa. No employment.
■Basic requirements
Must intend a visit for purposes other than a purpose related
to business or medical treatment. Must have adequate funds, or
access to adequate funds, for personal support during the visit.
The expressed intention of the applicant only to visit Australia
must be genuine.
■Application
Complete the application form and apply(in person or) by mail to
the immigration section, Australia embassy.
■Application fee
\ 5,000 Only payments made in Japanese yen can be processed at
the embassy. |

【ETA】（イータス：電子入国認可システム）
ETAは短期の観光および商用を目的としたオーストラリアへの入国を、電子的に許可するもので、旅行代理店等で取得できます。
【観光ETA】
観光を目的とする訪問のためのビザで、有効期限は1年。パスポートの残存期限が1年未満の場合は、パスポートの失効日まで有効です。有効期限内では何度でもオーストラリアに入国することができますが、一回に滞在できる期間は3ヶ月です。3ヶ月以内であれば、正規留学以外の就学ができます。

■申請条件
ETA対象国であることが条件です。日本は対象国ですので御心配なく。
■申請方法
旅行代理店、テレキュートETAセンター、航空会社、オーストラリア大使館で取得できますが、団体旅行用、格安航空券の場合は大使館では取得できません。

■申請料金
無料。ただし、旅行代理店などで申請する場合、手数料がかかることがあります。
観光ビザ、ETAともに、条件や審査がある場合もありますので、オーストラリア大使館のホームページなどで確認して下さい。

【Electronic travel authority】
ETA is an electronically-stored authority to travel to Australia
for short-term tourism or business entry. You can obtain authority
at the same time as you book your travel arrangements.
【ETA for tourism】
his allows to visit Australia temporarily for tourism purpose and
is valid up to 12 months (or passport validity if less) and allows
multiple entry and stay up to 3 months. You can undertake informal
study with this visa. No employment is permitted.
■Basic requirements
Applicants must hold an ETA eligible passport.
■Application
Applications can be made through travel agents, telecute, airlines,
and the immigration section of Australia embassy. Persons travelling
on group tickets cannot obtain an ETA visa.
■Application fee
Free. But in case you apply through travel agents, they may charge
a processing fee.
