【はじめに・・・】
| デンマークの人口は約531万人。東京都の人口のおよそ半分です。
デンマークでも高齢化は進んでおり、1995年時の65歳以上の割合は15.2％（デンマーク大使館発表）で、日本とほぼ同比率です。高齢化が進む中、デンマークでは高齢者福祉施策を100年にわたり改善してきました。いまやデンマークの社会福祉施策は国際的に評価され、注目を浴びています。

| デンマークの高齢者政策は当初、施設サービスが中心でしたが、個人の需要に十分応えることができないとして、高齢者が自宅で自立した生活ができるように「多様なサービスを個人の需要に応じてきめ細かく提供すること」に重点を置くようになりました。
また、デンマークでは公共機関や福祉機器業界、高齢者・障害者団体等が協力しあい、デザインや性能が良く、使用者と介護者が使いやすい福祉機具の開発を行ったり、デンマークの福祉や福祉機器を紹介するキャンペーンにデンマークの社会省が参加し、福祉機器業界をバックアップするなど、国全体で福祉の分野に力を注いでいます。

【INTRODUCTION】
The population of Denmark is 5,310,000. It approximately half
is in the population of the Tokyo. Even in the country with such
a small population, Denmark is aging rapidly and the ratio of
65 years old and over is 15.2 %. It is the same ratio approximately
with Japan. As the population aging, Denmark has been improving
welfare policy for the elderly for 100 years. Now and the social
welfare policy in Denmark are internationally evaluated and are
attracting attention. At first, the policy for the elderly in
Denmark centered on the facility services. However, because the
demand of the individual could not be sufficiently responded to,
it got to place emphasis in " providing various services finely
according to the demand of the individual " that helps the elderly
people to be able to have independent lives at their own houses.
In Denmark, public institution, welfare instrument industry and
the elderly/handicapped community cooperate each other and develop
the easy-to-use welfare instrument which provide better performance
and design for users and caregivers. In addition, Denmark places
stronger emphasis on the field of the welfare as whole country.
The Social Ministry of Denmark participates in campaign to introduce
welfare and welfare instruments, and gives aid to welfare instrument
industry. |
